Metropolitan Apostolic Community Church

The well-worn reddish-brown sandstone exterior of this church makes a beautiful backdrop for the colors and textures of the two wildflower garden beds we planted in front of this building in 2009.

The short wrought iron fence is as old as the structure and can not be easily replicated.

Members of the congregation planted their favorite Spring blooming tulips, daffodils, etc. to take part in the gardening process. Those flowers have all gone dormant now in mid-October and are not visible.

This beautfil building has been designated a Chicago Landmark by the Commission on Chicago Landmarks and Mayor Richard M. Daley on July 19, 2007.

The welcoming warmth of the large wooden front doors have been greeting parishioners and guests alike for over 100 years.
