This garden, planted in the summer of 2002, is 42' in diameter. The lawn, at right, slopes down to a wet area.
Special landscape designs were created to take the varying micro-climates into account.
Paths, logs and rocks were placed among the plants to break up the garden and provide interest.
Black-eyed susan and grasses surround this stump.
The wet areas, shown above, were planted with sweet Indian plantain, queen-of- the-prairie and other plants that appreciate moist soil. Rocks, stones and logs add additional interest.
