The interesting seed pods of Wild White Indigo, Baptisia leucantha, will darken as the season progresses. When they dry out you can shake them like a baby's rattle.

Zig Zag Goldenrod, Solidago flexicaulis, is commonly found in the woods. It gets its name, as you can see, from the shape of the stem. This interesting flower does quite well in this garden.
