Small Shady Garden In Downtown Chicago, Illinois

This garden exists in a north side of a three story building -- a very harsh environment. Trees on the east and west prevent much morning or afternoon sun from shining on this garden. Additionally, thousands of people and automobiles pass by every day. It looks fine because of the proper plant selection and expert, loving care by the owner.

A comfortable, peaceful place to relax in the heart of downtown Chicago.

The soil here was so filled with clay that we expected that we could use it to manufacture pottery, yet everything grows just fine.
