Wildwood is a neighborhood of Chicago. It is near a forest preserve and deer roam the streets all the time. Previous to us planting this garden, this most shady area was totally barren and empty -- nothing grew here. |

A dead log and a few rocks placed between the ferns and Sweet Woodruff, Galium odoratum, add texture and interest. For some reason this log reminds me of the skull of a dead cow. |
