Northside Chicago Backyard
A fairly large bridge crosses one end of the rain garden. Large plants were used in this sunny backyard because the owners emjoyed the view from a tall deck just off their kitchen.

All sorts of bird feeders and birdbaths are present here and there. This area is filled with life throughout the year. Birds, butterflies, interesting insects and people are all magically drawn here.

Different sized rocks are placed in the birdbath because they stay damp and butterflies can alight on them to drink and cool off.

The tall flowers of Prairie Dock, Silphium terebinthinaceum, tower above the roof of the garage. Some plant, huh!
